My God, My God, I Cry Out...

Have you ever needed to hear from the Lord so desperately that you cried out to Him in anguish? I have, and today was one of those days. Last week was a tough one for me, not only was I swamped with responsibilities but I just couldn't seem to find any alone time with my Jesus. He warned me right before the week started that it was going to happen, that I was going to find myself overwhelmed and stressing about time. And He was spot on, of course, as always. This morning, my heart needed to hear His voice so desperately. When Jesus is the love of your life, and you don’t get the quality time that you need, you become empty and dry, and this woman was parched. I missed His voice, His word, His love and care for me. When I don’t get the quality time that my heart needs, I find myself missing Him, needing Him in such a way that even sleep was difficult for me last night. But my Lord and King, my One True Love is faithful to hear me, and bend down His ear to me, when I call upon Him. This is what He spoke to me today.
(If you are in the same place I was this morning, please, open His word, and make His word personal. Put your name in there instead of what is written. His word is personal, and He speaks to you personally through it. Italics are my conversation with the Lord)
Isaiah 43
1.       But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, Stephane, and He who formed you, Stephane. “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, Stephane; You are mine.”
2.       When you pass through the waters, Stephane, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.
3.       For I am the Lord your (personal, intimate) God, The Holy One of Israel, your (personal, intimate) Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. (There is nothing I would not give up for you, child. Because You are mine)
4.       Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored. (Not will be honored, but you have been honored) And I have loved you, Stephane. Therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life.
5.       Fear not, for I am with you, Stephane. (I will never leave you, nor forsake you, you are precious to Me.) I will bring your decedents from the east, and gather you from the west;
6.       I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring my sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth- (I hear your heart for your children, your family, your friends, and I have them in the palm of my hands.)
7.       Everyone who is called by My Name, (Jesus Christ, Christian- which is you, Stephane) whom I have created for My glory. (I have created you to have a relationship with Me so that we may have pleasure in one another, and I may be glorified to the ends of the earth.) I have formed him, (Stephane, I am your Savior) yes, I have made him. (I have made Him for you, and you for Him, for Me)
8.       Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.
9.       Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled. Who among them can declare this, and show us former things? (There are millions of books and millions of people who think they know something, bring them forward and let them speak to you as I do, from the beginning of time. They cannot for wisdom is only found in Me. I am your substance, I am your all, trust Me, and I will show you what is to come.) Let them bring out there witnesses, that they may be justified. (When you seek wisdom from someone else, or something else, you will find yourself lacking. In Me alone is found all you will ever need.)
10.   You are My witnesses, (I have revealed Myself to you, so that you may know Me.) says the Lord, and My Servant (Jesus Christ) whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, Stephane, And understand that I am He. (You can always trust Me, have I yet failed you?) Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.
11.   I, even I, am the Lord, (I am the Way, the Truth and the Life) And besides Me there is no savior (For I am He)
12.   I have declared and saved. (It is finished, I have done the work, and it is done, there is nothing for you to do to earn it, I have given it to any and all who ask) I have proclaimed and there was no foreign god among you; Therefore you are My witnesses, (I have chosen you to declare me to the nations, to My little ones.) Says the Lord, That I am God.
13.   Indeed before the day was, I am He, and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; (You are mine, forever more) I work, and who will reverse it? (I have you, and I will never let you go.)
14.   Thus says the Lord, your (personal, intimate) Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel (from eternity past to eternity present to eternity future, I am He, who redeems your life from death) Stephane, For your sake I will send to Babylon, and bring them all down as fugitives- the Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships. (There is nothing anyone can do to you, I hold you in My hands. I will pull down the strongholds; I will bring to nothing the works of those who fight against you, for You are mine, forever more.)
15.   I am the Lord, your (personal and intimate) Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your (personal and intimate) King.
16.   Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters,
17.   Who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power {they shall lie down together, they shall not rise.{ (No weapon formed against you shall prosper, I have fought and I have won) {They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick}: (It is done, finished, completed)
18.   Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. (Forget your past. For the past and you will not continue to repeat it. Do not put your hands to the plow and look back at what might have been, or what you should have done. But look ahead to the things I have prepared for you.)
19.   Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? (Remember My promise to you, and hold fast to that. For I will do a work, and you shall know that it was Me, and only Me.) I will make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert; (I will make a way for you. I have begun a good work in you, I will complete it until the end.)
20.   The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. To give drink to My people, My chosen. (I hear your petition for provision, and I will cause it to come upon you. I am the creator of life, all is in My hands, I will pour out My blessings upon you, because you are precious to Me.)
21.   This people I have formed for Myself; they shall desire My praise. (I have formed you for Me, and I desire you more than My life, My very life. I desired you so much that I left My heavenly throne and I took upon Myself the sin and death of flesh and I carried about the cross of Salvation, because to look upon you and not have you was too much for me to bear. You are loved with a perfect love. I have loved you with a love that never ends. I left heaven to be with you, and I chose to die for you, not for your sake alone, but because I cannot be without you. I love you, I have chosen you, I have formed you, and I will be with you , always.)
22.   But you have not called upon Me, Stephane. And you have been weary of Me, Stephane. (You have chosen to step away from Me, I have never left you. I have been right here, waiting for you to come to Me.)
23.   You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings; nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. (You have not done as I asked, and you have gone your own way) I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings, nor wearied you with incense. (I have not done this, you are here because of the choices you have made)
24.   You have bought Me no sweet cane with money, nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices; (You have chosen this path of disobedience, I did warn you not to take that path, but you chose it, I did not.) But you have burdened Me with your sins, you have wearied Me with your iniquities (I see your sins, I see your heart, I see the inmost part of your very being)
25.   I, even I, am He who blots our you transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. (Yet, after all this, I have died for these sins. Bring them to Me, turn from the path you are currently on, and turn to Me, I will forgive you.)
26.   Put Me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted. (Talk to Me, remember where to find Me? I am here, in the pages of this book, My Word, My heart, My love, is all here for you. Come to Me, rest and lay your head upon Me. I have carried this burden for you. Your sins will be remembered no more. I have taken them, I have forgiven them and I have cast them as far as the east is from the west. From eternity past to eternity future, I have loved you, and I have given all that I am, and all that I have just to be with you. Come to Me, all you who are heavy with burdens and sin, and I will give you rest.)
Amen and Amen. To Him alone be glory forever and ever. Amen.
If you have read this, and see the need to ask Jesus into your heart, I urge you to do so. Say this prayer, “Lord Jesus, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart. I need you, Lord Jesus. In Your name I do pray, amen.”
If you have just asked Jesus into your heart, you have become a new creation! Behold all things have become new, welcome to the family of God. He loves you and He sings over you. I want to encourage you to begin reading your bible. Start in the book of John, and just spend time with Jesus every morning. Pray that He would guide you by His Holy Spirit. Jesus desires a personal, intimate relationship with you. He loves you and wants to be a part of your life. I pray that you have begun that journey with Him today. Amen.
